My Experience
As a child I have always had a love of numbers. I remember grabbing my spiral notebook every time we left the store, tracking each piece of candy I bought, and subtracting it from my allowance. I shied away from this passion as I got older, however a serious car accident caused me to reevaluate my college major.I returned to my first love of numbers and graduated with a degree in Accounting and received my certificate of tax preparation from H&R Block. While attending school I assisted my mom with her tax and bookkeeping business as well.
Since 1998, I have worked in the public and private sectors which include the following positions: Certified Tax Preparer, Bookkeeper, Office Manager, Accounting Manager and Project Controller. Recently, I have returned to school to pursue my master’s in Accounting with a concentration in Forensic Accounting and Taxation, with a goal of becoming a CPA within the next 2 years.
When I am not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading. I can also be found watching my favorite investigation shows, from NCIS to Murder She Wrote. I am blessed to be able to do what I love! I hope to be able to do business with you in the near future.
